Itanagar: In a major development across the border area, the Indian Army has deployed Bofors guns in a forward area along the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in Arunachal Pradesh.
The latest M-777 Ultra-Light Howitzers along with battle-proven Bofors artillery guns has been deployed.
According to reports, the defence guns have been deployed at Bum-La, the border meeting point between India and China along LAC in Tawang.
China has been claiming Arunachal Pradesh since decades which India has been opposing.
Recently Vice President Venkaiah Naidu visited Arunachal Pradesh which China has opposed, since then China has increased its military movement across LAC. This is not the first time, whenever leaders from national capital made a tour to Arunachal Pradesh, China made it an issue.
India is preparing itself fully in case of any tense situation across the region. The Indian Army has increased the deployment of air assets, including Unmanned Aircrafts (drones) near the Indo-China border in Arunachal Pradesh.
