Air Chief Marshal VR Chaudhari Emphasizes Vision for Indian Air Force at Defence Services Staff College Visit

 

New Delhi:  Chief of the Air Staff Air Chief Marshal VR Chaudhari made a significant visit to the Defence Services Staff College in Wellington on March 22. Addressing student officers from both the Indian Armed Forces and Friendly Foreign Countries undergoing the 79th Staff Course, as well as the permanent staff of DSSC, the CAS delivered insights into the challenges facing the Indian Air Force (IAF) and its strategic direction.

In his address, the CAS outlined the IAF’s capability development plan and the importance of jointmanship in contemporary warfare scenarios. Emphasizing the transition of the IAF into a modern and future-ready Aerospace Force, he reiterated the vision articulated in the IAF doctrine, which aims for an agile and adaptive Air Force capable of providing decisive aerospace power.

Highlighting the pivotal role played by the IAF in evacuating the Indian diaspora from conflict zones and conducting disaster relief operations, Air Chief Marshal Chaudhari also drew attention to the valuable lessons derived from ongoing conflicts such as the Russia-Ukraine War and the Israel-Hamas conflict.

During his visit, the CAS received briefings on ongoing training activities and the emphasis on jointmanship at DSSC, expressing his appreciation for the efforts made in this regard.
