10 Organizations Sign MoUs with ORMAS for Skill Development Training in Odisha

Bhubaneswar: To bolster skill development and employment opportunities in Odisha, 10 organizations signed 13 Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with the Odisha Rural Development and Marketing Society (ORMAS). The pacts aim to provide comprehensive training to the youth under the Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Grameen Kaushalya Yojana (DDU-GKY).

Rural Development, Panchayati Raj, and Drinking Water Minister, Rabi Narayan Naik, attended the event as the chief guest, praising the initiative taken by ORMAS. Naik emphasized the impact of these agreements, stating, “Through DDU-GKY, ORMAS has inked pacts with 10 entrepreneurs. As per the agreement, Rs 125 crore will be allocated for the training of youths. This will create job opportunities for 17,272 youths in the state.”

The MoUs aim to leverage the expertise of the participating organizations to enhance the employability of rural youth, aligning with the broader goal of sustainable development and poverty alleviation in Odisha. The training programs will focus on a range of skills tailored to meet industry demands, ensuring that the beneficiaries are well-equipped to secure meaningful employment.
