
New Delhi: In a move aimed at facilitating essential banking transactions, the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has directed all banking agencies to remain open to the public on Sunday, March 31, 2024.
Issuing a notice on Wednesday, the RBI ordered banks to inform the public about this special working day. The directive comes in response to a request from the Government of India to keep all branches of banks dealing with government receipts and payments open for transactions on March 31, 2024, which falls on a Sunday.
