
Chilka: Admiral Dinesh K Tripathi, Chief of the Naval Staff, is set to review the Passing Out Parade (POP) of the fourth batch of Agniveers at INS Chilka on August 9, 2024. The significant post-sunset ceremony will mark the completion of training for 1,390 Agniveers, including 216 women Agniveers, who will take their ‘Antim Pag’ (Final Step) from the esteemed grounds of INS Chilka. Additionally, 330 Coast Guard Naviks will also pass out during this event.
Vice Admiral V Srinivas, Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Southern Naval Command, will serve as the Conducting Officer for the parade. The occasion will be graced by the proud families of the graduating Agniveers, alongside eminent veterans and sports personalities.
The POP marks the culmination of 16 weeks of rigorous ab-initio Naval training for the Agniveers, ushering them into their new roles in the Combat Ready, Credible, Cohesive, and Future Ready Indian Navy. Their training at Chilka covered academics, various service facets, and outdoor exercises grounded in the core values of Duty, Honour, and Courage. During the ceremony, outstanding Agniveers will be recognized with awards in various categories, presented by the Chief of the Naval Staff.
