64 Talented Individuals from Odisha Gear Up for India Skills 2023-24 Championship

Bhubaneswar: As excitement mounts, 64 skilled individuals from Odisha are eagerly preparing to showcase their talents on the national stage at the prestigious “India Skills 2023-24” championship. This highly anticipated 3-day event will bring together over 1500 participants from across India, all vying for recognition and promising career opportunities.

Scheduled to commence on May 15th with the grand opening ceremony and orientation session, the championship will feature skill competitions from May 16th to 18th, culminating in a grand felicitation ceremony on May 19th. Spanning prominent locations including Delhi, Bhubaneswar, Manipal, and Gandhinagar, the championship promises to be a platform for showcasing excellence and fostering skill development nationwide.

Representing a diverse array of skill areas, participants from Odisha are poised to seize this national platform to exhibit their expertise and enhance their competitiveness in the skills landscape. Facilitated by the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC), India Skills serves as a launchpad for youth across the country to demonstrate their capabilities across traditional and emerging sectors.

Victorious competitors at India Skills 2023-24 will earn the honor of representing India at the prestigious World Skills 2024 competition, slated to be held in Lyon, France. This global event will provide participants with an unparalleled opportunity to showcase their skills on an international stage and compete against the best from around the world.

To ensure a superior level of competition, esteemed panels of judges and experts from World Skills will assess the live performances of participants at multiple centers across the country. The NSDC has meticulously coordinated intricate logistics at all venues to ensure the seamless execution of the competition.

With 52 skills spanning across 6 sectors including Construction and Building Technology, Creative Arts and Fashion, Information and Communication Technology, Manufacturing and Engineering Technology, Social & Personal Services, and Transportation & Logistics, India Skills 2023-24 serves as a platform for these proficient young individuals to kickstart their careers and contribute to India’s skilled workforce.
