5T Chairman VK Pandian Reviews Developmental Projects and Engages with Students in Gajapati District

Bhubaneswar: V.K. Pandian, the Chairman of 5T and Nabin Odisha, undertook a visit to Gajapati District as directed by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik. The purpose of the visit was to assess the progress of various developmental initiatives in the district and engage with students and the general public.

Participating in the Nua-O Program at Gajapati Stadium, Pandian had insightful interactions with students from all colleges in the district. The Nua-O program, aligned with the Chief Minister’s vision, serves as a platform for youth to showcase their talents, fostering overall personality development alongside academic accomplishments. Pandian encouraged students to work diligently with self-confidence, emphasizing that college transformation projects in the district would be completed by February.

During his visit, Pandian conducted a comprehensive review of nine bridges with a total cost of 54 Crores, which were sanctioned following his last visit to the district in May 2023.

Additionally, he examined the progress of significant projects in Gajapati District, including the Chheligada Irrigation project (Rs 996 Crs), Mega Piped Water Supply projects to Rayagada block (Rs 180.5 Crs), Paralakhemundi Bypass Road (Rs 54 Crs), development of waterfalls and viewpoints (Rs 13.5 Crs), and the Jeerango Monastery development (Rs 2.68 Crs), along with the enhancement of various major temples.

Several of these projects were initiated based on feedback gathered during Pandian’s previous visit to Gajapati District in May 2023, where he actively participated in grievance meetings and sought public input.

Engaging with the public at Kashinagar and Ramagiri, Pandian received grievances on various issues and provided assurances for their early resolution. The visit aimed to reinforce the commitment to holistic development and the well-being of the residents in Gajapati District.
