2024 Oscars Nominations Unveiled: “Oppenheimer” Takes the Lead with 13 Nods

Hollywood: The anticipation surrounding the 2024 Oscars reached its peak as the nominations were officially announced today. The highly acclaimed film “Oppenheimer” secured the spotlight with an impressive 13 nominations, closely followed by “Poor Things” with 11 nods. The 96th annual Academy Awards come on the heels of a remarkable cinematic year, featuring the “Barbenheimer” phenomenon and Christopher Nolan’s epic World War II biopic, both of which enjoyed substantial success at the global box office.

The list of nominations revealed several surprises, including the absence of “Barbie” director Greta Gerwig and no acting nods for stars like Margot Robbie and Leonardo DiCaprio. On the other hand, America Ferrera earned a best supporting actress nomination for her role in “Barbie” after being overlooked for a Golden Globe nomination.
