11 New Yellow Anaconda Hatchlings Born at Nandankanan Zoological Park

Bhubaneswar: Nandankanan Zoological Park has welcomed 11 new yellow anaconda hatchlings, adding to its growing collection of exotic snakes.

The latest hatchlings come just days after seven others were born on June 29, bringing the park’s total number of yellow anacondas to 25, according to zoo authorities.

Officials report that the newborn snakes are healthy and adapting well to their environment, under the close observation of the zoo’s expert handlers.

Yellow anacondas (Eunectes notaeus), although non-venomous, are among the largest snake species globally and are native to South America. Their breeding in captivity is considered a rare and commendable feat in the field of reptile conservation.
